Action triggered when the app is opened

Hi,
is there a way to trigger an action when the application is opened (ideally a script)?
Specifically, I’m interested in the ability to notify the user that they have to do something (e.g. approve a process). Sure, workflow automation and sending an email is one thing, but the ability to display a message when the application is opened would provide another level of notification.
Moreover, such an “onLogin” script would allow for practically anything, from hidden actions (calculations and data updates) to displaying news in the application or notifying about downtime.

Hi,

as you write the option is to create a WF and send the user an email. We have this point on our Roadmap, but I can’t give an approximate implementation date. I will try to find out more or move this topic along.
